I have always desired to “do”. Creating, building, crafting, making music, activating - whatever it may be, I enjoy the flow state that is manifested when I create. This brings me closest to the pure conscious being that I am. And I profoundly believe that through art and creation, I am finding meaning.
As a visual thinker and creator, I find myself always returning to the concept of interconnectedness. I see patterns and replication in everything, and I truly believe that there is an obvious form of purity in our reality.
I love the exploration of nature and geometry, and how we continue to find ways in which biological systems utilize its wisdom to not only survive, but to express their consciousness. Life, consciousness, and reality are deeply interwoven, with patterns and connections that resonate from the molecular to the cosmic scale. I say this because as I create my artwork, I’m trying to emulate this experience. It’s the feeling of uncovering that which we already know.

The nature of reality, life and consciousness continues to express itself to me in ways I could not have imagined. Ever since I can remember, I have been obsessed with the concept of reality. What am I? Why am I? Are you me, and I you? What does that tree know? And every time I think I have something figured out - my mind, my heart, my family, my people, nature continues to show me new perspectives.
I often return back to some core components that end up effecting my art. I’m profoundly affected by music, and feel that bathing of sound creates a balance and wealth of intuition and creativity. I see and feel music and harmony in my artwork, and I make a point to put musical energy into each creation. Nothing is more satisfying to me than when someone tells me they feel a rhythm or pace to my work. That is the ultimate connection that I want to create.

When working with these unique wood species, I am deeply aware that creativity emerges from a partnership with nature. Each piece has its own distinct character, and I strive to honor and express its essence through my work. From the moment of selection, every piece speaks to me, inspiring the creative process for which I am profoundly grateful. These mandalas serve as a sanctuary—a place to pause, connect, and find peace. I hope they bring you the same sense of harmony and reflection.
