Sapele

The Sapele tree (Entandrophragma cylindricum) is a large, tropical hardwood species native to Africa, particularly in the Congo Basin and West African regions. Known for its durability and aesthetic appeal, sapele wood features a reddish-brown color with a fine interlocking grain that creates a striking striped or wavy figure when finished. It is highly valued for use in musical instruments due to its excellent workability and tonal qualities. The tree plays an important role in its native ecosystems, but increasing demand for its wood has led to concerns about overexploitation, emphasizing the need for sustainable harvesting practices to preserve the species and its habitat.

Constructed from a single piece of Sapele, this design invites you into the rhythm of the hexagon, framing and compartmentalizing the fragments of your thoughts, desires, and needs. Within chaos, there can be order.

My artwork is more than a visual experience; it’s a meditative journey.

Crafted from carefully selected wood species, each piece reveals the unique patterns of growth and time—its rings, grains, and knots tracing the rhythms of nature itself. Sacred geometry subtly overlays these patterns, bringing out the tree's character and aligning its design with universal patterns.

Embedded magnets harmonize the surrounding energy, grounding the viewer and inviting calm, while soft sounds resonate through the wood, creating an immersive field that quiets the mind and elevates awareness. Together, the wood, magnetism, and sound create a space for introspection and peace, turning the artwork into a vessel for harmony, grounding, and higher consciousness. This is not merely art for the eyes but a sanctuary for the soul, where nature and universal energies converge to bring tranquility and depth to any space.
