White Ash
The White Ash (Fraxinus americana) is a large, deciduous tree native to North America, prized for its strong, resilient wood and attractive appearance. Typically reaching heights of 50–80 feet, it is recognized by its compound leaves with 7–9 leaflets, grayish bark with a diamond pattern, and a rounded canopy. Unfortunately, it faces significant threats from the invasive emerald ash borer, which has devastated populations across its native range.
Made with a single piece of White Ash, this design was crafted to evoke a sensation of vitality and inspire thoughts about the cyclical nature of life. The endless loop of the toroid evokes a sense of unity, completeness, and embraces the interconnectedness of all things.
